Fishing Guides

Norfork River Resort

If you are planning a trip to the Ozarks, be sure to check out Norfork River Resort for a vacation full of nature, scenery and the world's best trout fishing. The ideal place for a Fly Fisherman or a Boat Fisherman, it right here. But Lake Norfork, just 3 miles away, has some fantastic striper fishing, too. We can recommend the best guides for Lake Norfork, White River and North Fork River;, plus the resort owns a 52 acre private island for guests to use. The island is just downriver about a mile and a half on the White...just upriver from Steamboat Shoals.

Cranor’s Guide Service

When it comes to experience, few people have more than Donald Cranor, owner of Cranor’s Guide Service. Donald started out at the age of 15 back in 1982, and he’s been fishing professionally on the White and North Fork Rivers ever since. Donald knows how to keep big trout coming to the boat, so he’s a popular guest on fishing shows like “Fishin’ Hawg Country”, Outdoor Channel’s “Rebel’s People Who Fish” and “Adventure Sports Outdoors.” He’s also been featured in several sporting magazines like Field & Stream, Cabela’s Outfitter Journal and Outdoor Life.

Chad Johnson

Chad Johnson honed his guiding skills through years of experience taking clients fishing across America from Louisiana to Alaska. Chad is a true professional fly fisherman. So if you’re a novice wanting to learn to cast or an avid veteran looking to hook the big one, he can help you do it.

Action Fishing

We'll fish for anything that is biting, but we target crappie most of the time. We've developed a system for locating and catching them year around on Lake Greeson, about 45 miles southwest of Hot Springs between Murfreesboro and Glenwood. Call them what you will - crappy, white perch, specks, sacalait, calico bass, papermouths or whatever - we like catching them and love eating them! But most of all, we enjoy taking folks out on the water to unwind and spend quality time making memories with their family and friends. And, while they're at it - catching a good mess of crappie!
